PLAYING CATCH UP!

Its been forever since I updated. Things are good. Mason is growing like a weed and it makes me sad. Lee is still working for the county and I'm still at the hospital. We have just been just spending time as a family and doing the same old stuff. Mason is now a member of the church and is so excited about it. Lee is just waiting for it to snow so he can go boarding!! Well here is some pictures of the last little while.

Mason got baptized! What a special time that was for our family. He was so excited and could not wait to be dunked in the water. It was so neat to watch Lee baptise our son. I was one proud momma.

We had a lot of fun this October. Our family LOVES Halloween. We had a great time carving pumpkins, trick or treating and watching scary movies.

Mason and his friend Austin getting ready for some candy. Mason went to the trunk r treat with Austin, then Lee and I took him around the town. As always he got a TON of candy.

BOO!

Chowder was a pretty princess.

Mason had a birthday party at the bowling alley this year. He got a lot of cool stuff. Everyone bowled, ate pizza and BIG cupcakes. My sister came down from Utah to help me with the party. Thanks Mim.

Mason and I the morning of his 8th birthday. Every year we take him out to breakfast for his birthday. This year it was just the two of us. We had a lot of fun and he got his favorite over easy eggs and sausage.

Me and my hubby hanging out watching Family Guy! Its our favorite. So funny!

Mason at lunch on his first day of school. He is in 2nd grade. And all the girls love him, but he only has eyes for his mommy. :)

Me and my wonderful friends Liz and Shasta after our session at the Logan Temple. These two are seriously an answer to my prayers. I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

Our new puppy Chowder! She is actually at the vet right now cause Lee ran her over. She had to get hip surgery. Lee feels so bad. Poor puppy. :(

A LITTLE BIT OF OUR SUMMER!

Swimming lessons this year were awesome. Mason learned so much. He is such a darn good swimmer. He has no problem being in the deep end of the pool at all. He is even learning to dive.
Loving every second in the water.

Us spending the 4th of July holiday with my sisters. We went to two bbq's and watched a ton of fireworks.

Mason and his good friend Averi. They are always together. They have had a few sleepovers and they play almost everyday.

My super handsome boy at the temple. It was such a neat experience walking through the Temple with him.

Outside the Temple.

Me and my boy eating dinner at my sister's in laws house at salt lake.

I surprised Lee with a "boob" cake! He LOVED IT and thought it was super yummy!:)

Lee at Laguna Beach. It was so pretty.

We went to California in May. This was my first time seeing the ocean. I loved it so much I cried when we first walked up to it. It was amazing

So I know this was back in the spring, but I wanted to post it anyway. This was Mason's first year wrestling and he did such a good job. We were so proud of him!

Me and Mason's trip to Salt Lake!

Soooo good!
I have been wanting to try sushi soooo bad, so my sisters husbands brother took us out to a nice place and told us what to order. It was so yummy!

Mason and Fuddy at the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. It was so pretty. While we were there doing the tour my sister asked Mason what he liked best about the temple and he said " being so close to Jesus." What a wondeful boy I have.

Me and my sis after our session at the SLC Temple, it was amazing. I love going to Temple. It makes you realize what life's all about.

I GOT THIS E-MAIL FROM MY DAD TODAY

This tribute to our dog was written by my dad, Jerry Watson.
He joined our family in 1995. A five week old pure bred German Shorthair puppy. Skinny, big ears, and big paws. I knew it was a mistake from the start. Couldn't go anywhere without him. Lock him in the back yard and he'd climb the fence or tunnel under it. Tie him up and he'd chew the rope off or slip the collar. He could open a gate or a door. Then close it behind him just to make you wonder how he got out. He chased cats, squirrels, rabbits, deer, cattle, foxes and game birds. He chased my truck if I left home without him. But he never chased cars. He had encounters with skunks, badgers, porcupines, and rattlesnakes. He slept with me, my kids, my grandkids and by the fire. He ate chicken, chocolate bars, corn chips, ice cream, and my grandkids lollipops. He went fishing, hunting, hiking, swimming, golfing and jet-skiing. He attended weddings, ball games, parades, baptisms, graduations, family reunions and X-mas dinner. He was a thief. He stole countless stuffed animals from yards and porches. He buried them in our backyard. I found a huge Mighty Mouse partially covered with dirt and leaves. They still turn up now and then. He was gentle and submissive with children, yet he was a fierce and protective sentry when the lights went out. He would swim across lakes, rivers, and streams to find you. Then jump in and swim back when he discovered you weren't there. He would take a ten mile hike with me or just follow the grandkids around the block. It didn't matter. He made Kim sneeze. He let Hudson feed him M&M's, potato chips, and Hall's cough drops. He trained with Lacey for the Paris fun run. He helped Mason catch lizards, frogs, and grasshoppers. Missy invited him over for Thanksgiving dinner. Jennifer adopted him. She took care of him and let him rest on Josh's bed. He attempted to rid Dingle of their water snake population. He would get lost. I left him up Home Canyon. He came home. Jennifer left him in the Dingle hills. He came home.

That's what we were doing. Hiking at the lake. We were almost home. He laid down in the sun. The lake was beautiful. It was a great day. I told him..."come on buddy, you can make it". He didn't want to go on. He was tired. Worn out. He was with us for 102 dog years.

He was a nuisance. A pest. A burden. He was dirty and smelly. He was wet and muddy. He shed. He snored. And he was my best friend.

HAVING FUN!

Hyrum and Matti (Mason's cousins) stayed the night with us. Mason loves those guys so much. They are such good kids. We all had a good time. In this picture they are watching the movie "Footloose" and they are trying to dance like they do in the movie. It was so funny to watch. They were really getting into it.
Lee was such a good sport to dance with the kids. He was just acting like a goofball, making fun of the whole 80's dancing thing. But they were sure havin fun.

Hyrum,Matti, and Mason hanging from our stairs. These stairs are so fun for kids. Its like mini playground right in our house.

Just the three of us! I have the best family ever. I love these two so much!

OUR POOR CAT

So two weeks ago our cat went missing. He was gone for six days. We thought for sure he was dead, because he always comes home at night and it was super cold the week he was gone. To our surprise he came home!! I was so happy I cried (hey he's part of the family). I noticed that his back leg was all messed up he would just drag it when he walked. I thought he got hit by a car or something. So the next day I took him to the vet. The Dr. said he was pretty sure that our cat was caught in a trap. Can you imagine having your leg caught in a trap for six days in -3 degree weather, with no food or water? It just broke my heart. He ended up having to get his leg cut off. He is doing a little better. I wish I could find the person who sets traps out, so I could tell them what I think of them.

FEELING NOSTALGIC

This picture was taken eight years ago. We had only been married a little over a month, we were living in a crappy trailer in Pocatello. And we had just recently found out that I was pregnant.

Okay, so I was not going to do a post for a while, but today I just couldn't stop thinking of my husband. Lee and I had a really tough start on our life together. We got married really young I was 19 he was 20. We had no money. Lee worked at a Chinese restaurant washing dishes, and I was pregnant and always sick so I did not work for more than a few hours a day at a home health place. I remember that we had a jar full of change and anytime we needed to go to the store, we would always have to count out our change. It was rough and to make it all the worse Lee and I pretty much fought non stop for the first few years of our marriage. Looking back on it I will honestly say that I really never thought we would make it. I know a lot of the fighting was my fault. The first two years of our marriage were honestly some of the hardest times in my whole life. But I wouldn't change them for a second. Going through that with Lee has only made me love him more. Him and Mason are the best things that have ever happened to me. I'm getting so choked up as I write this, because I have been so blessed to be Lee's wife. I am so glad that we have stuck by eachother through the trials that we have received. I do not regret one single day I've spent with Lee. Even though we still fight now and again, we have come so far and made so much progress. So thanks to my amazing husband for all the bad times and for all the good times. I will love you forever.

Mason hard at work!

Okay, don't think we are mean but yes we make Mason run on the tredmill(we talked to the doctor and he said it was fine). We only have him do this in the really cold months, when he can't get outside and play. He only runs three times a week at the most and he runs for one mile at a really slow pace. He does a pretty good job, but he whins a lot too. I had to force him to smile in this picture. He didn't really want his picture taken while he was working out. Thanks Kim for his running shorts. He looks so cute in them!

This is Mason doing his homework, which he has every single night. He is so smart though and usually has no trouble with it at all. He looks like such a grown up. He makes me laugh.

SNOWBOARDING!

On Saturday, Lee and I went snowboarding! It was way fun. We usually take Mason, but we decided to get a babysitter so that we could hit it hard, and board all day. It was super cold, but the snow was decent. Lee is amazing at snowboarding, all the kids love to watch him hit jumps. I'm no where near as good as Lee yet, but I'm getting a lot better every year. There is nothing like the feeling of carving down the mountatin. This year I am going to try and learn how to hit jumps(so I might be in a cast sometime soon!). Mason is so dang good at snowboarding for his age. It sure helps him to have a pro for a dad too. Anyway, this is how we will spend every weekend for the rest of the winter. I hope it keeps on snowing!
