OUR TRIP TO LAS VEGAS!

This year for Thanksgiving me,Lee,Mason, my dad, my sister and her husband all went to Las Vegas. We had a really good time. I have been to Vegas a lot, but this was Mason's first time and it was so much fun to see it through his eyes.

We went on a 4-d spongebob ride it was way fun. Mason ended up going on it three times. The other picture is my sister melissa and her hubby Brandon on Thanksgiving day. We ate a really nice restaurant. The food was soooo good.

This is us on the airplane on our way to Vegas. My first time ever on an airplane, and I loved it. Mason also loved it. It was only a one hour flight from SLC to Vegas. The pic at top is of our hotel room taken when we first walked in the door.

GIRLS NIGHT OUT!

We had the BEST time Friday night!! Me and a couple of my very best friends Shasta and Erica went to the movie Twilight and ate at Red Lobster. It was so fun to just get away and not worry about anything and just have a good time. The movie was AWESOME!! The characters were perfect except Edward. I mean he worked, but the Edward I had pictured in my head was much better looking. But I thought the movie was still way good, and I can't wait for the next one. Anyway, I have to tell this funny story about that night. Well Shasta had bought are tickets online, but we still had to wait in line forever to get them. After we got them we were told to go stand in a line that ended up being the wrong line. Once we figured it out and went to the line that we were suppose to be in, we were told that the movie was all full and that we had to go back and have someone refund us our money back. We were so sad we had just drove 80 miles to see this movie. We were told that all the other showings were sold out as well. So we decided to just sneek into the next showing anyway. It was funny because the theater workers were watching us the whole time. There was a huge line of people for the next showing, and once they started letting them in we just went with the crowd. We went and sat down ,then this guy came up and asked to see our tickets. He knew we snuck in, but was cool and just told us not to say anything. So we got to see our movie and had such a blast!

MASON'S 1ST GRADE PICTURES

CLASS PRESIDENT!

I know this is a little late, but better late than never right?

So back in September Mason came home from school and said " guess what, My class voted on class president and I got the most votes". It was so cute he was so proud. He got his picture in the newspaper, and he got to ride in the homecoming parade with all the other student council members. He gets to wear his little student council shirt every Thursday for " blue day" . He makes such a cute class president!

Mason loves to Golf!

Mason's new favorite past time has been golf. All summer long, every Tuesday Mason and my dad would go golfing. Mason has his own set of clubs complete with a golfing bag, balls and tees. Lee and I have never really seen Mason golf. The first part of October my dad came to our house and asked if we wanted to go watch him and Mason play a round of golf. We went and watched with our mouths open because we couldn't believe how awesome Mason was. My dad is a really good golfer and apparently a really good teacher too. So I thought I'd share these pictures I took of the next Tiger Woods.

SURGERY DAY

Mason got his tonsils out yesterday. The surgery part went great, but after they brought him back to the room everything started to go down hill. When he first came out he was crying a little because of the pain, so the nurse put some pain meds in his iv and some medicine to help with the nausea. After she left he just got worse and worse. He was crying and freaking out. She came in and gave him more pain meds, and then realized that his face was getting puffy and red, and he was itching all over. He was having some kind of reaction to the pain meds. He was screaming all this weird stuff and he was trying to pull his iv out. I have never seen Mason behave like that. I was so scared. They flushed all the pain medication out of his iv, and gave him some benadryl. After a while the swelling started to go down, and he started to act like himself. It was so scary and is all I could think about is how much I love this child. I wanted so much to traid places with him. He is my everything and I am so lucky to be his mom. We are home now and things are going good, he still has a while to recover though. Thanks for everyones prayers and concerns. It has meant so much to us.

MASON'S SURGERY

Mason will be getting his tonsils out on friday Nov. 7th. He has been getting sore throats and strep throat every year since he was two, so the Dr said it is time to get them out. I am very aware that this is a common sugery and that the risks of something bad happening are very low, however I am a mom and I tend to spend my days thinking of every possible thing that could go wrong. So I am asking my family to keep Mason in their prayers this week. Thanks and I hope everyone has a good week.

My Mom

Lee,Mason, and I went and visited my mothers grave. I try to tell Mason everything that I remember about her,but its very hard because its been so long. One of my most vivid memories is: It was Halloween time, and about two days before she passed away. I remember her telling me that we needed to go buy a pumpkin soon. We never got the chance. On the day of her burial, I put a miniature pumpkin on her coffin. To this day whenever I see a miniature pumpkin that is what I think about. I miss my mom, even more so since I got married and had my own child. But I look forward to the day when I can see her again.

This is a cool story! (well I think so anyway)

About six and a half years ago, we lived in Pocatello and Lee worked for a company called bannock paving. One day while Lee was at work they were pouring cement,it was just about quiting time and while nobody was looking Lee ran over to a spot where the cement was still wet, and wrote L + L. So anyway, the other day while me and Lee were on our date in Pocatello, we went and found the spot. And yes it was still there, and course I had to get a picture. It made my heart melt when I seen it again. I know its cheesy, but its special to me.

MORE PICS FROM OUR JAPANESE DATE

OUR JAPANESE DATE!

A few weeks ago, I got up and got my son up for school, It was just like every other morning Lee was at work, and I was rushing trying to get mason fed and ready to go. When I got home from taking him to school, I noticed that Lee had left me a note before he went to work. When I opened it it had a pair of Japanese earings in it and a note that said "go to the computer and go into documents and click on Japanese". So I did and he had a note saying that he was going to take me on a Japanese date,it also said to look on the side of the computer,so I did and there was a present wrapped up in a Japanese flag. And then all of the sudden Lee walks into the room. I had no idea he was even home I thought he was at work, but he had taken the day off just to surprise me,what a sweetheart, and he even got a babysitter for the whole night. Oh the present he gave me was a Japanese board that had "I love you" written in Japanese. It was so sweet! He even had little Japanese cups that we drank green tea from. We went to Pocatello and ate at a Japanese place. We just spent the whole day together. I have the best husband in the whole world, and the hottest one too. Thanks Lee, that was a date I will never forget!!

Mason is a first grader! I can't believe it. The first two days of school were so hard for me. I went and spied on him during recess and lunch. He looked so grown up, it made me so sad. I went home and cried. Kindergarten was not hard at all for me because he only went half a day just like pre school, but first grade is the real deal. But he is enjoying it and he looks so darn cute in his school clothes. Wow kids grow up so fast.

BATMAN

We took Mason to see the new batman movie a while back, and of course he had to get all dressed up for it. Batman is Mason's all time FAVORITE thing he wants to be just like him. The movie was pretty scary, so we ended up covering Mason's eyes a lot. He still loved it and it was so fun to take my little batman to the movie!

A DAY I WILL NEVER FORGET!

Summer has been so busy for us. It seems like we work all week and when the weekend comes there is so much to try and fit in that I feel like I haven't spent much one on one time with my son. So I decided that I would take a day off work and spend some mom and son time with Mason. I wanted to make this day all about Mason. I gave him some options on what we could do, and he picked to go to the lake. So we drove up to my dads lake house, and walked down to the beach. We first had lunch that we had brought. After that we went swimming for a little while. When we got out Mason said that he wanted to make a sand castle so we worked on that for like a hour and a half. Mason was so cute as we were buliding our castles and talking every once in a whlie he would look at me and say, I'm sure glad we came here mommy. It was so fun just spending time with him, he is so fun to be around it was almost like I was just there with one of my friends. After we were done playing in the sand we wanted to go swimming again. The wind had picked up and there were quite a few waves. We started jumping the waves and as we got deeper we would go under water every time the wave would hit us. We were both laughing so hard. After we had spent about 4 hrs playing at the beach we walked up to my dads house and he made us rootbeer floats. That was the best time I have ever had at the lake, and we didn't even have 4-wheelers or jet skies that time. Ya know those memories that you have as a kid and when you look back at them they always make ya smile? I hope this will be a memory like that for Mason.
